In the context of the replacement of the Ecotax for Lorries with "transit tolls", the National Federation of Wood (FNB) reminded the French government the commitment made on December 19, 2013, at its general meeting. It had agreed to grant an exemption to transport round wood (logs, logs and forest products) as is already the case for the transport of milk, vehicles and agricultural equipment, and more generally the agricultural sector. To this end, FNB, by the voices of its President, Laurent Denormandie and its Managing Director, Nicolas Douzain-DIDIER, sent two letters last Friday to the attention of Stéphane Le Foll, Minister of Agriculture, Agri-Food and Forestry, and the Members concerned to remind them of their commitment. Concerned about recent announcements, FNB, expects the government to take a clear position in the coming days paying special attention to the progress of this issue.
About the FNB
FNB is one of the main French trade organizations of the forest-based sector. Beyond a territorial network, FNB brings together 80 national organizations, regional or business dedicated to French wood and its use. It thus represents 1,750 companies for 5 billion euros in turnover. The reason for the FNB lies in its role of institutional representative in the political bodies, administrative, professional, economic and social, and including at the European level.
